P3M have been loving our new topic of Birds. They went exploring in our role play area as bird watchers, recognising different types of garden birds and used their numeracy skills to tally up how many they spotted. They also visited the Creation Station to create a bird house using junk art. They made sure to cut out a hole for the birds to fly in and out of and some P3s even camouflaged theirs! They loved using LEGO to build a specific garden birds, paying attention to the shape and colours of each different type of bird. Finally, they learnt how to work together play songs about birds on Boom Whackers like Five Little Ducks 🦆
