Cygnets Art School

My name is Leigh O’Walsh, and I lead Cygnets Art School East Belfast — a children’s fine art franchise that has just launched locally, offering inspiring art classes for children aged 5 and up.

As an East Belfast native and Belfast School of Art graduate, I’m passionate about helping local children discover the joy of art through Cygnets’ unique approach. Since its founding in 2015 by Central Saint Martins graduate Tabitha Booth and her husband James Heslip, Cygnets has helped thousands of young creatives across the UK, and I’m delighted to now bring this opportunity to families here in East Belfast.

To celebrate both our launch and Cygnets’ 10th anniversary, we’re hosting a special FREE family event to welcome children and parents from the community:

The day will feature hands-on art workshops designed to spark imagination and creativity, with two unique sessions exploring different artistic mediums and exciting projects.

Cygnets’ distinctive teaching method breaks complex techniques into manageable steps, making fine art accessible and empowering even the youngest students to create artwork they’re proud of. Our mission is to build confidence and inspire children who might never have thought they could be artists.
