European Languages Day

26th Sep 2025

We had a fantastic day celebrating European Languages Day, this year focussing on Poland. We decided to dress in red/ white/ something Polish related and began our day with a visit from Aleksandra’s Dad, Maciej, who showed us lots of pictures and told us interesting facts about Poland. Did you know that Polish is the 9th most difficult language to learn? We then enjoyed a fantastic break, homemade by Paulina, Kamila and Maciej. We sampled nalesniki, kielbasa, chleb, faworki, strucla and paczki. Everyone had their own favourite snack and the adults especially could get used to a Friday break like that every week! Lots of fun was had in each classroom learning about the Polish culture. Thank you so much to our parents Paulina, Kamila and Maciej for all of your hard work over the last week. Your help and support was very much appreciated by the staff and our children had a fantastic day! Looking forward to our next celebration!
