In Y1We we having been busy exploring the much-loved story of Peace At Last as part of our Talk For Writing. The children loved bringing Mr Bear’s noisy night to life!
To begin our learning we read and re-read the story discussing the characters, the setting and of course the many noises Mr Bear encountered. We enjoyed using our voices, bodies and plenty of imagination. We dressed up and acted out the story remembering the sequence of all the different places Mr Bear tried to go to sleep, and all the many noises that kept him awake! What a fabulous job all of our little actors and story tellers did!
We then used our sounds to write about how Mr Bear was feeling when he couldn’t get to sleep.
We have had so much fun being creative and the children should be so proud of all the hard work. We hope you enjoy looking at some of the photos of our learning journey.
