Literacy fun in P2CB

P2CB have been reading the story Traction Man through Talk for Writing. We learned how to retell the story, use actions, and act it out. In ICT, we even recorded our own audiobook and used our bodies to create sound effects for the story.   Then disaster struck! The Dundela Bear was stolen, and it was all caught on a live news report.   The children explored all of Traction Man’s missions and the different clothes he wore, using lots of descriptive language to bring his adventures to life. After finding the bear, they designed their own special outfits for Traction Man to complete the rescue.   They then used these ideas in their writing to describe how his outfit helped save the day. The children were so excited throughout and really enjoyed the whole process. The end result was superb!
