Armagh Planetarium Star Dome Visits Year 2!
Y2CB had an out-of-this-world experience this week when the Armagh Planetarium Star Dome arrived at Dundela. The children were buzzing with excitement as they stepped inside the inflatable dome and began their journey through space.
Inside the Star Dome, pupils discovered:
• Constellations and the stories behind them
• The phases of the Moon
• A tour of the planets in our Solar System
• What stars really are and how they shine
The immersive 360° projection made the night sky feel incredibly real, and the pupils were full of brilliant questions about astronauts, rockets, and life in space. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and imagination light up!
This hands-on learning experience supported our ‘Space’ topic, helping the children build knowledge in a fun, memorable way. A huge thankโyou to the team from Armagh Planetarium for bringing such a magical adventure to our classroom.
Well done, P2CB—you were amazing space explorers! ๐
