When Sam the Lamb, our cuddly class pet, sent us a message telling us he had a bad toothache because he had been drinking too many sugary drinks, we had to find out why? We had great fun setting up our experiment to see the effect that sugary drinks might have on our teeth and to see if toothpaste can protect our teeth. Some of us were able to predict correctly what might happen. After seeing the results, we all agreed that water does not damage our teeth, sugary drinks definitely do, and we really need to brush our teeth so that the toothpaste can protect them.
